Last week Xiaomi announced that its much-awaited Mi A2 Android One smartphone (First Impressions) will be an Amazon exclusive device in the country.
The Chinese conglomerate made the announcement through a rolling ad on the homepage of Amazon.in website. The Mi A2 will officially be available on the e-commerce platform from August 8, but a twitter user has posted two screenshots which show that the price of the 64GB variant as Rs 17,499.
When we checked the same on Amazon, we couldn’t find any traces of the price listing. Twitter user Aman Sawhney tweeted a screenshot from the deals section of the Amazon India app. The Mi A2 is seen listed under “today’s Deals” section and the offer ends on August 8. If you need to buy the phone from Amazon, you can click on the ad which is rolling on the homepage of the e-commerce platform or search for “Mi A2”. In the latter case, a link will appear on the top of the page that will guide you to the special page that Xiaomi had created to advertise the Mi A2 smartphone. On the page, you can click the “Notify Me’ button so that the website can send you a notification when the phone becomes available.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Specifications The Xiaomi Mi A2 was launched under Google’s Android One programme last month in Madrid, Spain. The phone has a 5.99-inch Full HD+ IPS panel with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is protected by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. An Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz powers the smartphone. Xiaomi launched the Mi A2 in three variants - 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.
It has a fingerprint sensor located centrally on the back and a dual-camera setup aligned vertically on the top left corner. In the camera department, the Mi A2 sports a dual-camera system on the back. The primary camera has a 12MP sensor and the secondary 20MP lens is for portrait photography. Both the lenses have f/1.75 aperture. There is a 20MP front camera. The phone is available in three colours - Gold, Blue and Black.
