Moto G6 Plus India launch today: Specs, price, features and more

Motorola launched the Moto G6 (review) and Moto G6 Play smartphones in India back in June and at the time, the company had announced that the Moto G6 Plus will launch at a later date. That day is today. Motorola will finally launch the Moto G6 Plus in India after six months of its global launch.

The company has been teasing the launch of the Moto G6 Plus via all its social media handles in India. The Moto G6 Plus is a mid-range smartphone that features an 18:9 display, without a notch. It is equipped with a faster processor and more memory than the Moto G6 Play and Moto G6. Moto G6 Plus specifications The Moto G6 Plus features a 5.9-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC and comes in the two aforementioned memory variants. In terms of optics, the device features a 12MP+5MP rear camera setup with f/1.7 aperture lens and Dual Pixel autofocus. On the front is an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 80-degree lens.

The device is backed by a 3,200mAh battery and supports the company’s TurboPower fast charging technology. It runs on stock Android 8.0 Oreo and features p2i-rated water-repellent coating protects it from accidental splashes and light rain. It sports a Type-C USB port and features the 3.5mm audio jack.  Moto G6 Plus Expected Price The Moto G6 Plus was announced in two variants with 4GB and 6GB RAM, both with 64GB of internal storage. It starts at an MSRP of €299 (approx Rs 24,300), which we speculate is for the higher RAM version. It’s not confirmed whether the company will launch both versions of the device in India but we expect it to be priced slightly lower here. Moto G6 Specifications Moto has already launched its Moto G6 smartphone in India, which comes with Face Unlock feature and sports a fingerprint scanner as well. It features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and below the display is the home button that doubles as the fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 450 SoC, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There’s also a 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant of the phone. Coming to the optics, the smartphone features a 12MP primary sensor with a f/1.8 aperture along with a 5MP secondary depth sensor with a f/2.2 aperture. The 16MP front-facing camera sports an LED flash. Additionally, the whole package is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery that also supports TurboPower charger included in the box. The Moto G6 is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM variant, while the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM version costs Rs 15,999.
