XIaomi recently announced its Redmi 6 series of smartphones in India, which includes the Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and the Redmi 6 Pro. The most powerful variant of the three devices, the Redmi 6 Pro is going up for sale today, just a day after the Redmi 6. The Redmi 6 Pro is the company’s first Redmi smartphone in India to come equipped with a ‘notched’ display and like many other devices, it comes with an option to hide the notch.

The smartphone comes in Red, Blue, Gold and Black colour options and the company will include an ultra slim case in the box.  Redmi 6 Pro Price and Launch offers The Redmi 6 Pro will be available under a flash sale at 12 PM via Amazon and Buyers can also walk into the company’s Mi Homes and offline partners to purchase the device.

The smartphone comes in two variants - a 3GB RAM/32GB storage version that costs Rs 10,999 and a 4GB RAM/64GB model, which is priced at Rs 12,999. There’s three months of free Hungama Music subscription for everyone who buys the Redmi 6 Pro and HDFC credit/debit card customers can get to avail Rs 500 off on the purchase. Redmi 6 Pro Specifications The Redmi 6 Pro features an aluminium built design and comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ ‘notch’ screen with a 19:9 display aspect ratio. It supports AI Face Unlock as well and runs on MIUI 9.6 based on top of Android Oreo. In terms of optics, the handset features a dual rear camera setup, which supports Electronic Image Stabilization. There is a 12MP Sony IMX 486 primary sensor and a 5MP secondary Samsung sensor on the back, which is the same camera configuration as the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

The handset is backed by a 4000mAh battery that the company claims can deliver up to 16.5 hours of video playback. In our review of the Redmi 6 Pro, we said, “The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro introduces the notch to the entry-level segment, but underneath, it has the old Snapdragon 625 chipset. The phone isn't going to turn heads, but if you're looking for something reliable and functional, the Redmi 6 Pro is a good choice.” You can read our full review of the smartphone here.
